In Focus
The Regional Knowledge and Partnership Networks for Poverty Reduction and Inclusive Growth aims to improve the strategic thinking on the new poverty reduction and inclusive growth agenda in an increasingly regionalizing and global Asia. The main intention is to work with key institutions in South Asia to establish knowledge networks wherein the participating institutions will produce knowledge products on poverty reduction and inclusive growth, including working papers, policy briefs and opinion pieces that will be shared to policy makers, development practitioners, academe and other stakeholders and interest groups through a regional website NCAER has been contracted by ADB as the consultant organization to coordinate activities with other research networks and government agencies in India and South Asia.

Current Event
The conference has taken stock of the conceptual understandings and empirical evidence on the poverty-environment nexus to see how emerging issues on climate change and sustainable development influence policy formulation and implementation in Asia and the Pacific. The conference was organized by ADB along with NCAER in co-ordination with 14 development partners and think tank institutions. About 150 participants attended the conference. Mr. Armin Bauer from ADB and Anushree Sinha with Rajesh Jaiswal were co-ordinating from NCAER. The detailed conference program is as below:

Today,
NCAER
has links with major policy research institutions and universities outside India including the National Bureau of Economic Research, Cambridge, MA; the Brookings Institution, Washington DC; the Centre for Economic Policy Research, London University of Maryland, College Park, MD and the University of Oxford. The NCAER work programme is currently divided into four broad research groupings.
